Hear inspiring stories from our guest presenters and learn about the importance of organ donation! The Branch’s Annual General Meeting will follow at 8:00. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served. Come out to meet the Branch’s Board of Directors and Staff. Branch staff and volunteers are truly saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Carl Radimer, on April 15th.
Carl was an active member of the Branch’s Peer Support network, Manitobans for Presumed Consent and a cherished presenter.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada is proud to announce several new partnerships as part of the 2017 KRESCENT competition. New partners include Alberta Innovates, The PKD Foundation of Canada, Otsuka Canada Pharmaceutical, Ontario Renal Network and Can-SOLVE CKD Network.
On March 23, the 2017 Kidney & Liver Health supplement of the National Post talked about the importance of kidney research. The article highlighted KRESCENT and Can-SOLVE CKD, two high-profile programs supported by KFOC, and included a brief message by Paul Kidston, National President of KFOC.
The newly-revised 5th edition of our patient handbook is an invaluable resource for patients and healthcare professionals alike. This well-received update now includes two books, Living with Reduced Kidney Function and Living with Kidney Failure, and is available online or through renal units across the country.
The Kidney Foundation of Canada is pleased that Manitoba patients who treat their kidney disease independently, at home, will now be reimbursed for the extra water and power costs incurred during these treatments. The Province of Manitoba approved proposals submitted by the Nocturnal Home Hemodialysis Patient Action Group and the Manitoba Branch of the Kidney Foundation for this important initiative.
